New Entrant Safety Audit Checklist

$9.99

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) places new companies that operate over state lines into the New Entrant Program. New Entrants will be required to complete a New Entrant Safety Audit, otherwise known as an Offsite Audit. The FMCSA requires these companies to submit paperwork through an online portal.

As a New Entrant, you will receive notification from the FMCSA regarding the amount of days given to complete the audit. Typically, most Offsite Audits will last a total duration of 20 calendar days. Information from the FMCSA with everything that is required to complete the New Entrant Safety Audit will be sent via letter, telephone, and email. Should the motor carrier fail to submit the documents to the online portal on time, the FMCSA will revoke your DOT number and, thus, cause your company to go inactive for 30 days.
